Justin Sayers is a local government reporter at the Arizona Daily Star, as well as a master’s journalism student at the University of Arizona. He initially graduated from the UA in 2014, and spent an extra year completing his coursework toward a master’s degree as part of the school’s accelerated master’s program. After professional stints at the Arizona Republic and the Louisville Courier Journal, Sayers returned to Tucson in Aug. 2019 after 4 1/2 years away to both work at the Star and complete his master’s project.
